After a fun day out, here are some pix of the new car.

I'm gonna keep this brief, because I'm watching "When Star Wars ruled the world on VH1."

So, we got the Honda Civic last night. It's a hybrid (gasoline/electric) car. It doesn't plug in or anything. Instead the battery captures heat from braking and stores the energy. At lease that's what the book says. Yeah, our car has two engines...Got a problem with that??

The other thing that's taking some getting used to: When you come to a stop, the engine turns off. When you hit the accelerator, it starts back up without any lag. Science is truly amazing.

Of course the really cool thing is 48mpg. Right now, gas in Dallas costs about 1.60 a gallon. That means that it would cost us about 30 dollars in gas to see my sister who lives 1000 miles away.

Take a look below for a couple of pix.

-- Oh and for my sister: the official color is: "Opal Silver Blue Metallic." carfront.jpg

Lookin' good. A real beauty. What does the inside look like? A name? How about "Blue-suede-shoes"? too long? Cloud Nine? Hi-ho Silver? AC-DC? The Silver Lining?

Woot! New car!! Wow, girl, when you told me last week that y'all were thinking of car shopping, you weren't kidding, were you? She's beautiful (yep, "she" . . . I get a definite girl vibe off this car).

Did you keep beeyotch?

It is very pretty-shiny-spin-spin. Congrats. I'll be interested in finding out what kind of mileage you get on earth (since those EPA estimates must be taken on Mars). I am very intrigued with the idea of a visit to your sister. Your sister would like you to visit, when you can get a weekend off from your 19 jobs that is!

Hey, I love the car! I have always liked Honda Civics anyway and now have extra reasons to like them. I can't wait to go for a ride! Hmm... maybe we could carpool to the Rogue Knitnight... and you could drive! That would be a really rude thing for me to ask, but I'm betting/ hoping that you are still too excited about driving the new car to mind. ;)
Unless Matt is driving her that day! Anyway, congrats... sounds like you guys picked a good one!

I am SO jealous! I really can't wait to see it and hear about how great it is. Good for you for helping out Mother Earth!!
