How thrilling! I can't wait for the next installment!

(Do you get the socks back afterwards? I'm worried...)

I LOVED going to the Texas State Fair when I was a kid. One year my parents took me out of school for a *whole week* so we could go to Dallas and stay in a hotel and see the fair. It was kid heaven!

Lol, seriously. "jumped into the temperate water" *giggles* (that and the signage comment)
Not to worry about the socks being lonely- they'll have Aileen Purse to keep them company! :-D

Yes, Betty, I'll get the socks back. But then they'll be off to their intended recipient. This will be our first time going to the state fair. (I wonder how it'll compare to Ohio's?)

Ooh - that Aileen purse of Jen's is some stiff competition. But no worries, we've promised to play nice and stay friends.

so i have not had a great day and that blog entry was so great it cheered me right up. i work down that way and lefty and righty are correct that signage is not good. i will be sending all of my good vibes to the socks and the purse.

What a wonderful story! I hope the socks are well-behaved and do well at the State Fair. You can bet that I'll be visiting in September to see the results. Good luck!

you are so crazy, silly girl. these are soooo purty! glad you did the wire blockers! hahaha. i can't wait to see your 1st prize ribbon :)

I hope that a farmer declares "That is some sock," and you take home a pretty ribbon.

Of course, if on return home, you butcher and eat your prize winning socks, I will never forgive you.
